Class Expectations
Learning about the class, in order to have a successful year, using the Smore Software
Daily Classroom Expectations
Full Brochure: https://www.smore.com/svk3n
Top 5 Expectations (In my Opinion):
1) Save all your work, so nothing gets lost!
2) Start up your computer as soon as you get into class, allowing more work time.
3) Keep food and drink out of the classroom, to maintain the condition of the computers.
4) Manage time effectively, so everything gets done.
5) Keep cellphones away, for better focus.
Mind Map
Artistic way to arrange thoughts and ideas, using the Bubbl.us and Adobe Photoshop CS4 Software
All About Me
Digital Mind Map about my Personal Hobbies and Interests
In this first project, I learned how to use the Bubbl.us software, arranging the 'bubbles' in a way that was symmetrical. In the Adobe Photoshop CS4 software, I was able to learn how to add vertical text, square design border, and drop shadow effects, completing the map.
Career and College
Digital Mind Map about my Potential Career/College Choice
In this second project, I had already obtained information about both previously used softwares, and further expanded my expertise by centering the Mind Map around a bird shape (Since veterinarian medicine was the major focus) After continuing research about 4 different colleges in this field I was able to display this in a clear and colorful manner.
Animated Gifs
Repeated series of slides telling a story, using the Piskel App Software
Blooming Rose - Gif #1
Animated Gif Depicting a Rose Blooming
In this first project I explored the new software, and repetition of making an object move (Or in this case grow). One important thing I learned was balancing the change in shape with the amount of frames per second, so the result wasn't too slow or rushed.
Car Chase - Gif #2
Animated Gif Depicting Two Cars Racing Against Each Other
In this second project I designed a more elaborate and detailed short gif, using different tools such as the fade in opacity, or checkered-board brush. This, while having more detail within the cars and exhaust, made the story much more advanced and creative.
Square Marquee
Originally using basic geometric shapes, with the art of Adobe Photoshop CS4, it can be designed into much more
Original Design
Starting Square Marquee Design
My original design was created at the start of this unit, forming a geometric pattern using various shapes. Upon uploading this image to Adobe Photoshop CS4, I used the Polygonal Lasso tool in order to create each individual shape, later dropping in different colors. This became the starting piece for each of the later adaptations.
Black and White
Square Marquee Design Multiplied Four Times, Shaded into Black and White
After multiplying my design four times, I took away the color, leaving the image Black and White. Then I used the Levels feature on Adobe Photoshop CS4 to change the intensity and hue, for certain shapes to stand out compared to others.
Color Theory
Square Marquee Design Multiplied Four Times, Using Cool Colors
After multiplying my design four times, I used a similar process as to the Black and White design with the Level tool. Instead of eliminating all the colors, I set the tone as cool colors, which are blue, purple, and green. I used different shades for each, making the piece fit together more.
Design Applied to Real Life Object
Square Marquee Design Multiplied Four Times, Color Altered, and Applied on a Sweatshirt
After multiplying my design four times, I edited the layer function similar to previous two designs. Upon finishing this, I found a design of a sweatshirt online, and edited it on top. This creates a preview for how an actual design would be used in real life, for example in a store for purchase. I choose a sweatshirt since it is an article of clothing I most often wear in my day-to-day life, and would more likely use.
Contour Line Drawing
Digitally drawing people using the Adobe Photoshop CS4 Software
Selfie - Illustration #1
Digital Illustration of Myself
Within this first drawing, I was able to learn a technique for drawing using Adobe Photoshop CS4, using the basic pen and eraser tools. One important thing I learned was to take it slow, rushing the lines made things look more choppy and jagged. I very much enjoyed detailing areas within the image, as afterwards it resembled closely towards it.
Dan Reynolds - Illustration #2
Digital Illustration of Dan Reynolds, Singer for: Imagine Dragons
In this second project, the majority of my troubles were focused around deciding a person to draw. After I realized I was spending a lot of time at home enjoying their new songs, I wanted to explore the possibility of choosing Dan Reynolds, the lead singer for Imagine Dragons.
Software Used
Websites and Programs Used Throughout the Semester
Adobe Photoshop CS4

In almost every project, this program came into use for editing photos, mind maps, coloring designs and so much more. The extensive amount of editing tools and features are far beyond some other photo editors, making it truly needed for a creative piece of art.
